Wagner Announces First Town Hall Tour Of Campaign

Will Hold Six Events Across The Commonwealth

2018 Republican gubernatorial nominee Scott Wagner, in order to take his paycheck protecting message directly to Pennsylvanians, today announced a slate of six town hall meetings across the commonwealth. Wagner’s running mate, Jeff Bartos, will join him at four of the six events.

“My campaign is about providing a voice for all the hardworking people that have been forgotten by Tom Wolf, and holding interactive town hall meetings is a great way to do that,” said Scott Wagner. “I look forward to participating in these events so I can share with the people of Pennsylvania my ideas to reduce wasteful spending, eliminate property taxes, repeal burdensome regulations, retool and reinvent our education system and put more money into the classroom.”

“Scott and I believe Pennsylvanians have the right to see the contrast between the two tickets in this race up close and in person,” added Jeff Bartos. “And while Governor Wolf and Mayor Fetterman feel they are above such an endeavor, we could not be more excited to travel the commonwealth and engage with voters about how we are going to do away with Governor Wolf’s failed policies and make Pennsylvania the fastest growing, most dynamic state in the country.”

The announcement comes shortly after Governor Wolf declined a request from the Wagner-Bartos ticket to hold a town hall debate in every county.
