Wagner Campaign To Spend Additional $1 Million On TV During Final Full Week Of Race

Releases New Spot Highlighting Wagner’s Commitment To Fighting Poverty

The Wagner for Governor campaign today announced it will continue its statewide advertising blitz by spending $1 million on television this week. Part of the buy will include a new commercial, contrasting Tom Wolf’s poverty perpetuating policies with Scott Wagner’s pro-paycheck agenda.“Conserving our resources has paid off, and we’re now able to deploy them when voters are paying the most attention to the race,” Campaign Manager Jason High said of the buy. “We’re confident that our increased presence on the airwaves down the stretch will help make clear to voters that Scott is the right candidate to lead Pennsylvania for the next four years.”

The Wagner for Governor campaign last week kicked off a final two week television advertising push by spending $750,000.

“Scott has been clear that it is unacceptable Pennsylvania is home to the poorest city in the country and t0 so many other struggling communities,” continued High about the new spot. “By focusing on education, job training and business friendly policies, Scott will eradicate the poverty Tom Wolf’s failed policies have brought to our cities.”

In September Philadelphia was again ranked America’s poorest city. (WHYY, 9/14/18)

SCOTT WAGNER: If you want to see the failure of Tom Wolf’s policies just drive through Philadelphia. Rampant crime, failing schools and exploding poverty. I’m Scott Wagner. Pennsylvania needs someone who will be a governor for the entire state, not the special interests that control Harrisburg. I’ll work to provide job training for those who need it, better schools for our children and make sure every Pennsylvanian can get a good paying job. You deserve no less.
